Job summary

Giants Ridge, managed by Guest Services, seeks a Ski & Snowboard Tune Technician to ensure guests receive safe, high-quality equipment. You will inspect, tune, repair, and maintain rental and guest-owned gear, including waxing, edge tuning, binding testing, and safety checks.

In this full-time seasonal role you will document service activities, meet tuning goals, and provide friendly, guest-focused service in a fast-paced mountain setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Previous equipment tuning/repair or rental shop experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn tuning procedures.
• Ability to understand guest biometric information when selecting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with documentation.
• Basic computer skills and use of rental management systems.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification by binding manufacturers within seven days of employment.
• Certification from binding manufacturers within fourteen days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, tune, repair, and maintain skis, snowboards, boots, and bindings.
• Perform waxing, edge tuning, base repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Inspect returned rental equipment for damage and document repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, adjustments, testing, and maintenance.
• Track damaged equipment and assist with rotation, repair, retirement, and replacement decisions.
• Meet testing, tuning, and maintenance goals to ensure fleet readiness.
• Communicate with guests regarding equipment condition, repairs, and service recommendations.
• Provide friendly, guest-focused service in a fast-paced environment.
