Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring Ski School Support Staff for the winter season. You will help run the ski school operations, assist with child-friendly activities, and ensure smooth lesson flow for young guests.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $31.00 per hour, with both full-time and part-time seasonal hours. Housing is available, and applicants must be at least 16 years old and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s ski school throughout the day by participating in activities.
• Determine proper boot sizes for children.
• Set ski/snowboard equipment to proper setting.
• Scan students to confirm tickets and booked lessons.
• Answer guest questions about drop-off/pickup and what to expect.
• Supervise children aged 3–6 on snow in beginner areas.
• Help children to the bathroom and during lunch as needed.
• Assist children on/off the magic carpet and monitor it.
• Assist inside during lunch and kitchen cleanup.
• Stay on snow in beginner area for several hours supporting instructors.
