Job summary

Mammoth Mountain is seeking a seasonal leader to manage the Ski & Ride school operations in Mammoth Lakes, CA. You will ensure superb guest service through organized instruction and staff coordination, while guiding instructors and support staff to deliver exceptional experiences.

The role requires PSIA/AASI Level 2 or higher certification and 3+ years in a snow sports school environment, with strong communication and emotional intelligence to inspire teams and guests alike.

Qualifications

• PSIA/AASI Level 2 certified instructor preferred.
• 3+ years in snow sports school, ideally with supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and emotional intelligence for guest and staff interactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Ski & Ride school.
• Provide exceptional guest service and ensure efficient instructor scheduling.
• Resolve guest and employee issues as needed.
• Coach, measure, and recognize employee performance, including seasonal reviews.
• Ensure staff comply with Employee Manual and Instructor Resource Manual.
• Mentor and train future Ski & Snowboard School leaders.

A Little About The Position

• Manages the day-to-day operations of the Ski & Ride school. Providing exceptional guest service through the efficient organization of instructors and support staff.
• Resolves guest and employee issues as needed.
• Responsible for coaching, measurement and recognition of employee performance - including seasonal performance reviews.
• Ensures all staff are meeting expectations presented in our Employee Manual and Instructor Resource Manual.
• Mentors and assists in the development and training of future Ski & Snowboard School leaders.

Requirements

• PSIA/AASI Level 2 or above certified instructor preferred, with a strong understanding of contemporary ski and snowboard technical, teaching and people skills
• 3+ years working in snow sports school, preferably with supervisory experience
• Ability to positively influence and support others.
• High level of emotional intelligence.
• Superior communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide great guest service
• Strong understanding of Ski & Ride School operations and the guest experience trail

Hourly pay: $27.00 - $38.23

*Starting pay based on experience and PSIA/AASI or equivalent certifications*
