Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is looking for a Ski Patrol Office Coordinator to assist the Ski Patrol Director with various administrative tasks. This seasonal part-time position requires candidates to be available during holidays and weekends, with early morning availability preferred.

The role involves both office and outdoor environments, with duties including managing new hire documentation, coordinating training, and maintaining patrol facilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience with Ski Patrol preferred.
• Must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new hire documentation and onboarding.
• Manage data entry related to confiscated passes.
• Coordinate scheduling of Patrol Shadows.
• Compile and file Patroller credentials.
• Assist with training hours data entry.
• Coordinate maintenance of Patrol facilities.
• Manage medical supply inventory weekly.
• Maintain guest incentive program supplies.
• Audit employee hours and timeclock.
• Coordinate audits and reporting of Patrol documentation.
• Submit weekly reports to the shared drive.
• Maintain Patrol uniform and radio fleet.
• Coordinate budget tracking with Patrol Director.
• Support recycling program.
• Share Sundance story regarding land preservation.

Summary

Assist Ski Patrol Director with administrative tasks involved with managing Patrol as assigned by Patrol Director. Though most duties will be in an office environment, some tasks will involve skiing and traveling in a winter mountain environment.

Key Responsibilities

• New Hire Documentation: Assist in management of new hire interview schedules, reference checks, onboarding, & training documents.
• Confiscated Passes: Manage the data entry, online quiz, and handling of confiscated passes.
• Shadow Program: Coordinate the scheduling and vetting of Patrol Shadows.
• Patroller Credentials: Manage the compilation and filing of Patroller credentials-NSP, OEC, CPR, EMT, ATF, HepB, Tb etc.
• Training Tracker: Assist Training Officer with data entry, and compilation of all Patrol training hours.
• Patrol Facilities: Coordinate maintenance of Patrol Aid Room, Locker Room, & Topshacks. Maintain aesthetic appeal and cleanliness of Ski Patrol Aid Rooms & offices.
• Medical Supply Inventory: Manage weekly inventory of Aid Room, and Top Shacks.
• Guest Incentive Program: Maintain supplies of Patrol specific guest incentives.
• Employee Hours & Timeclock Auditing: Manage weekly time clock management, & submissions of UDOT hours.
• Patrol Documentation: Coordinate the audits, filing, & reporting of all Patrol documentation including Incident Reports and Accident Investigations.
• Weekly Reports: Submit weekly Sundance progress reports to the shared drive, & monitor industry reports.
• Uniform Coordinator: Maintain Patrol uniform fleet.
• Radio Fleet: Maintain Patrol radio fleet.
• Budget Tracking: Coordinate budget tracking with Patrol Director.
• Pro-Form Program: Coordinate with Vendors to establish current employee roster for Pro-Forms.
• Support the recycling program.
• Share Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the opportunity arises.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training. Previous experience and knowledge at Ski Patrol Level I or higher of Sundance Ski Patrol operations preferred, but not necessary.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred. Operate 2-way radios for communication to other staff.
• Must attend CPR class sponsored by Sundance. Basic first aid or higher medical certification preferred.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

This position involves frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid environments, temperature extremes, moderate noise levels, and potentially hazardous situations. Employees may encounter risks related to medical care, accident and emergency scenes, road and rescue conditions, violence, theft, fire suppression, and other known or unforeseen hazards, and are responsible for acting within their training to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.
