Job summary

Shanty Creek Resorts is seeking a dedicated Ski Patrol Staff to monitor trails, respond to emergencies, and provide first aid on the mountain in Bellaire, Michigan. The role requires advanced skiing or snowboarding ability, calm judgment, and strong communication to support guest safety and resort operations.

Patrol duties include hazard assessment, rescue support, and coordinating with Mountain Operations and Lift Operations.

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability to safely navigate resort terrain.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak winter-season hours as required.
• Preferred: experience in ski patrol, emergency response, public safety, or related role.

Responsibilities

• Patrol ski trails and designated mountain areas to monitor conditions and identify hazards.
• Respond promptly to accidents, injuries, and other emergencies.
• Provide first aid and emergency care within training and certification scope.
• Assist with rescue, transport, and evacuation procedures as needed.
• Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding accidents, injuries, hazards, and changing conditions.
