Job summary

Sundance Ski Area in Utah seeks a Level I Ski Patroller for seasonal, full-time work. You will perform first aid, avalanche mitigation, emergency response, and guest safety, primarily on skis, with day or night shifts and weekend availability.

The role requires strong skiing ability, EMTB or higher certification, CPR, and experience with rope systems and toboggan transport. Expect weather-driven hours, holiday work, and ongoing training to maintain proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience acceptable.
• Candidate for at least one full season.
• Experience with rope systems and belaying is helpful.
• Avalanche awareness and backcountry experience preferred.
• Advanced to expert skier capable of terrain variety.
• EMTB or higher medical certification and CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and transport injured persons using toboggan.
• Coordinate with radio for emergencies and accident status.
• Participate in avalanche mitigation and rescue operations.
• Conduct safety sweeps and enforce skier responsibilities.
• Assist with training for Ski Patrol team.
• Maintain patrol equipment and facilities.
