Job summary

Hilltop Ski Area is seeking a qualified Ski Patrol Director to lead all operations of the Ski and Bike Patrol at Hilltop. You will manage staffing, training, scheduling, and guest experience, while ensuring safety and coordinating medical response, rope rescue, and lift evacuation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year college education or 3+ years related experience.
• Current OEC, WFR, EMT 1 or greater certifications.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to work and pass a background check.
• Must be able to ski/snowboard to safely complete job requirements.
• Leadership experience in ski patrol is preferred.
• Strong guest service attitude and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience coordinating lift evacuations and mass casualty incidents.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead staffing, scheduling, and coaching of ski patrol staff.
• Oversee Patrol training program, design sessions, document plans, ensure safety.
• Oversee Accident Investigation Team and coordinate with leadership.
• Maintain interdepartmental relations to promote cohesion.
• Promote culture of guest service, teamwork, innovation, and fun.
• Develop and deliver safety improvement initiatives during shoulder seasons.
• Assist other departments as directed by management.
