Job summary

The Rinks in the United States is seeking a Skating Instructor to teach group classes, run Learn-to-Skate sessions, and support facility events. You will follow the Learn-to-Skate USA curriculum, provide constructive feedback to skaters, and promote The Rinks’ values to guests.

The role requires enthusiasm, excellent communication, flexibility to work weekends and early mornings/evenings, and a passion for growing the sport of figure skating.

Qualifications

• Experience in figure skating, including competitive history, show experience, and/or coaching experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Figure Skating, Learn to Skate USA, and the Professional Skaters Association
• Active pursuit of education opportunities within the sport and PSA/USFS accreditation

Responsibilities

• Instruct group skating classes including Learn-to-Skate programs and camps.
• Follow the Learn-to-Skate USA curriculum and attend PowerPlay sessions if teaching LTS or other group classes.
• Assist in production and promotion of facility shows and competitions.
• Provide constructive feedback to skaters.
• Maintain a professional and ethical approach while meeting company standards.
• Interact with guests in a welcoming and professional manner while promoting The Rinks’ values.
• Communicate facility and program information to guests and support excellence in skating programs.
• Provide recommendations for skater advancement through The Rinks programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
