Job summary

Grand Forks Park District seeks a skating instructor to teach basic skating to diverse ages. You will demonstrate techniques, enforce safety rules, and keep attendance records while updating supervisors and parents on activities and issues.

Must have Freeskate 2 in LTS, with a schedule of about 3–9 hours weekly on Mondays and Sundays. Program runs November through March; time off during this period is discouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching/teaching skating preferred.
• Experience with elementary age children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic fundamentals of skating to a variety of ages.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment, techniques and methods of proper movements to achieve proficiency.
• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Keep attendance/level records and keep supervisors/parents informed of activities & problems.
