Job summary

City of Bellevue's Bellevue Indoor Skate Park seeks an enthusiastic Recreation Assistant 1 to assist with skateboarding instruction, registrations, and retail while keeping a safe, welcoming environment for youth, teens, and adults. You will support daily operations and events with a friendly, professional approach.

Work is part-time with flexible weekday shifts and some Saturdays. Training, background check, and CPR/First Aid certification are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Two or more years of skateboarding or recreation program experience.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification (training provided).
• Must pass criminal background check prior to employment.
• Reliable transportation and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver excellent customer service to participants and the public.
• Set up skateboards and perform routine maintenance.
• Teach skateboarding recreation classes, activities, and day camps.
• Process registrations, collect fees, and maintain participant records.
• Ensure safety gear is used and enforce park policies.
• Assist with program and event setup and daily park operations.
