Job summary

Materion Milwaukee is seeking a Sizing Technician I for 1st shift. Under supervision, you will operate grinding, crushing, and screening equipment to produce particular sizes of materials according to route cards. You will set up equipment, maintain it, and assist with labeling and packaging of materials.

The role requires safety gear use and adherence to on-site procedures. Starting rate is $20+/hour with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of industrial or relevant experience preferred.

You will bag, package, weigh and label the materials* Set up grinding and crushing equipment with the assistance of other Sizing Technicians* Maintain Sizing equipment, including performing preventative maintenance as scheduled* Operate a dry box work center that allows for the handling of air or moisture sensitive materials**REQUIREMENTS*** High school diploma or equivalent* Minimum 1-year industrial or relevant experience, preferred* Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds at shoulder height* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to low concentrations of fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, acid, and bases. The employee occasionally works with reactive material and may be exposed to low-level radioactive materials and extreme heat. All such exposures are customarily within limits established by federal and state regulatory bodies.* This position is located at an export control-restricted work location or requires access to export- controlled information. To be considered for this position, you must be eligible to access U.S. controlled technology that is subject to the licensing jurisdiction of Dept of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Dept. of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR).* Requires the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, a respirator, and protective clothing such as a uniform or lab coat. Other, more specialized protective gear may be required occasionally.**The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).****The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
