Job summary

Dauch Corporation is hiring a Sizing Die Setter in Ohio to install tooling, adapters, and pickoffs on sizing presses and align timing to meet specs. You will ensure safe operation, maintain 7S, and perform TPM activities while following quality and process instructions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of TS-16949/ISO-14001 standards, and the ability to communicate with shifts. Works on site in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Follows safe operating procedures.
• Maintain 7S standards.
• Performs TPM activities as the need arises.
• Review and follows quality, process and operator instructions.
• Perform quality checks and record using Plexus or required method.
• Identify, contain and generate DMR for non-conforming material and forward to MRB.
• Communicate with co-workers from adjacent shifts to discuss problems and concerns.
• Ensure operation runs at required production rate and notify Team Leader if not.
• Accurately reports production and scrap using required methods.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Install new setup following procedure for different parts.
• Start machine and inspect work.
• Set up feeder equipment.
• Dump parts into hopper using barrel hoist.
• Remove, clean and return completed tools and adapters to tool crib.
• Adjust presses during operation as needed.
• Operate sizing equipment as required.
• Complete other tasks within job classification as assigned.
• Assist other employees as advised by the Team Leader or Supervisor.

Job Description

• Follows safe operating procedures
• Maintain 7S standards
• Performs TPM activities as the need arises
• Review and follows quality, process and operator instructions
• Perform quality checks as the need arises and accurately records using Plexus or required method
• Identifies, contains and generates Discrepant Material Report (DMR) for any non-conforming material and forwards to the Material Review Board (MRB)
• Communicates with co-workers from the previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concerns
• Insures operation runs at required production rate. Notifies Team Leader or equivalent when this does not occur
• Accurately reports production and scrap using Factivity or required method
• Actively participates in continuous improvement activitiesli>
• Installs new setup following procedure for different parts
• Starts machine and inspects work
• Sets up feeder equipment
• Dumps parts into hopper using barrel hoist
• Removes, cleans and returns completed tools and adapters to tool crib
• Adjust presses during operation as needed
• Operates sizing equipment as required, .i.e. weekends/lunches/shortage of labor due to call-offs and excessive absenteeism
• Completes other tasks within job classification as assigned
• Assists other employees as advised by the Team Leader and / or Supervisor
