Job summary

American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Sizing Die Setter to install tooling and set up sizing presses for efficient production. You will ensure timing, ejection rates, and quality compliance while maintaining 7S standards and safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with safety procedures, and experience with quality systems. You will collaborate across shifts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow procedures.
• Experience with TS-16949 quality systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO-14001 Environmental Management is advantageous.
• Lock-out Tag-out experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Installs tooling, adapters, pickoffs, and other automation in sizing presses.
• Sets press timing and ejection rates to meet process specifications.
• Follows safe operating procedures and 7S standards.
• Performs TPM activities as needed and follows work instructions.
• Identifies and reports defects; communicates with team across shifts.
• Keeps accurate production and scrap records using required systems.
• Assists other employees and participates in continuous improvement.
