Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Six Week Building Float Paraprofessional Substitute for Minnewashta Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires fluency in both Spanish and English and will support students across multiple classroom settings.

Responsibilities include supervising the classroom, providing small-group instructional support, assisting students with special needs, and coordinating learning plans under the guidance of the classroom teacher and school

Qualifications

Minnetonka Public Schools is accepting applications for Six Week Building Float Paraprofessional substitute at Minnewashta Elementary for 2026-2027 School year.

This is a bilingual Paraprofessional Substitute position requiring fluency in both Spanish and English.

The Building Float Paraprofessional Substitute provides guidance and support to students in a variety of classroom settings throughout the building. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting student success across multiple learning environments.

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis as they are received.

Responsibilities

• Supports the lead teacher in supervising the classroom and students maintaining a positive learning environment
• Provides instructional support by working with small groups and individual students under the supervision of the classroom teacher
• Provide assistance to specific student(s) with special needs
• Navigator: Assist in the maintenance of individual student learning plans and scheduling of service learning projects as well as reinforcement of curricular concepts and themes taught within the classroom
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of the diverse learners
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt to changing classroom assignments and student support needs throughout the building
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administrator

Requirements

• Experience working with gifted/talented children
• Spanish speaking applicants preferred
