McMenamins Six Arms in Seattle is seeking an Assistant-Assistant Manager (AAM) to support pub operations. The role involves hosting, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth shift execution in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

The AAM will help with opening/closing duties, POS operations, and staff training while maintaining excellent guest relations. AAM work requires flexibility, teamwork, and a strong knowledge of wine and spirits.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain current food handlers and WA liquor license.
• 21+ years.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Excellent knowledge of wine, ales and spirits is required.
• Available to work FT with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all pub operations under the guidance of the Pub Manager.
• Perform opening and closing duties of the Pub; act as host and manage shift flow.
• Oversee servers, take food and beverage orders, deliver promptly, and cashier when needed.
• Operate POS systems, set up/breakdown service areas, and regulate labor and side work.
• Train staff and handle administrative duties while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Description of the Position:

The primary responsibility of AAM is assist in all pub operations under the guidance and direction of the Pub Manager. Dutiesinclude but not limited to: This position will be expected to be able to perform the responsibilities of non-management positions,andperform all opening andclosing duties ofthe Pub. The AAM will often act as thehost andwill oversee the smooth andeffectiverunning of the shift. Other duties include working outside on a seasonal basis as well as indoors, and most importantly maintainingandprovidingexcellentcustomerrelationswithallcustomers.TheAAMmayalsoassignsectionstoservers;serveguestsandtablesin assigned sections by taking food and beverage orders; delivering products in a timely manner; collecting payment; cashiering;workonapointofsalecomputersystem;set-up,maintain,andbreakdownserviceand workareassothattheyarewellstockedandorganized for efficient and safe service; regulating labor; overseeing side work; cleaning duties; and train staff; administrativeduties as assigned by manager. effectively dealing with personnel and customer service issues as they arise, provide appropriateservice to the customer to meet their needs and requests whenever possible to assure customer satisfaction. The AAM must beavailable to help solve and troubleshoot any problems that come up during the course of a shift report any issues to the HeadManager and District Manager.The AAM position can be hard physical work and this job also requires the ability to effectivelymulti-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment. The AAM must also have the ability to work well independently andalso as a member of a team.
