We are actively hiring for a SIU Investigative Analyst, Commercial Claims.

Your Role:

Identifies potential commercial fraud cases, analyzes referred potential fraud cases, determines need for SIU investigation and assigns cases to investigators. Leads and coordinates complex fraud ring and vendor fraud investigations. Designs, creates and maintains technical tools for fraud detection. Serves as SIU Subject Matter Expert and mentor. Creates and delivers fraud training. Evaluates and interprets regulatory environment and takes action to ensure Mobilitas compliance with applicable regulations. Provides regular and ad-hoc SIU reporting. Routinely collaborates with and presents findings to internal and external senior management.

Your Work:

Claim Detection and Assignment

  • Analyzes claims referred by adjusters to determine suitability for SIU investigation.
  • Uses tools to detect claims suitable for SIU investigation and assigns cases to investigators for all lines of business.
  • Uses tools to detect and illustrate complex organized fraud activity.
  • Evaluates investigative results and coordinates further investigations with investigators and management as needed.
  • Designs, creates, maintains, and enhances complex databases and software programs for use in detecting fraud, e.g., Graph DB, SIU Portals office tools.

Peer leadership /Subject Matter Expert

  • Functions as peer leader for investigators in complex organized fraud ring investigations and provides mentoring on investigative approaches.
  • Designs and delivers training for peers and claims staff.
  • Leads and coordinates ring investigations and vendor investigations.

Compliance

  • Reads, interprets, and provides proposed solutions to regulatory compliance requirements for SIU in a multi-state environment.
  • Writes and/or amends draft fraud plans for states requiring them.
  • Crafts and implements center adjusting training in regimen to meet fraud requirements of disparate states.
  • Collaborates with corporate compliance function, providing answers and documentation for market conduct audits relative to fraud.

Reporting

  • Builds and completes business reporting for department on monthly basis.
  • Develops ad hoc reports for management as needed.

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience handling complex claims, preferably in multiple claims disciplines, i.e., Casualty, Homeowner, etc.
  • 2 -3 years of SIU experience.
  • Depending on assignment, may be required to obtain and maintain Adjuster’s license (state-specific).

  • Prior SIU, fraud, or criminal investigations experience.
  • A background in Commercial Claims.
  • BA/BS in finance, criminal justice or another related field.
  • Industry certifications, such as the CIFI, CIFA, CFE, or FCLS.
  • Knowledge of available resources (internal and external) to assist in investigations.
  • Proficiencies in accurate reporting, and training.
  • Understanding of claim best practices.
  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.).
  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.
