Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking a Special Unit Investigations (SIU) Field Investigator to conduct on-site investigations, interview witnesses, and compile detailed reports supporting claims decisions. You will travel to accident scenes and manage documentation in our claims system.

The role requires 2+ years SIU experience, a relevant degree, and a valid driver's license. You will operate independently and with the team to uncover facts and support client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years SIU experience with an investigative firm or insurance carrier.
• Former military or law enforcement background preferred.
• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations of accidents and property losses.
• Conduct in-person interviews and obtain detailed statements from involved parties.
• Gather case information through online research and background checks.
• Draft thorough investigative reports summarizing findings and observations.
• Retrieve relevant documents to support investigative findings and manage case information.
• Track case progress, time, and expenses within Ethos systems.
• Identify red flags related to fraud and misrepresentation in claims.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and claim handlers throughout investigations.
