Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking a Special Unit Investigations (SIU) Field Investigator to conduct on-site investigations, gather evidence, and produce detailed reports to support claims decisions. You will travel to accident scenes, interview witnesses, and upload documentation into our claims system, working independently and with the team.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years SIU experience with an investigative firm or insurance carrier.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one (where required by state).
• Active driver's license and valid auto insurance.
• Reliable vehicle and SIU equipment (recorder, camera) for field work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations of accidents and property losses.
• Interview witnesses and obtain detailed statements.
• Perform online background checks and gather case information.
• Draft thorough investigative reports summarizing findings.
• Track case progress, time, and expenses in Ethos systems.
• Identify fraud indicators and red flags in claims.
• Communicate with clients and claims handlers throughout investigations.
