Job summary

Ethos Risk Services seeks a Special Unit Investigations (SIU) Field Investigator to conduct field investigations, gather evidence, and produce detailed reports that support claims decisions. You will travel to accident scenes, interview witnesses, and upload documentation into our claims system.

Requirements include 2+ years SIU experience, ability to work independently, and a Private Investigator license. A reliable vehicle and mandatory equipment are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years SIU experience with investigative firms or insurers across liability, auto, and property.
• Former military or law enforcement background preferred.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one (state dependent).
• Active driver's license and valid auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations of accidents and property losses.
• Interview witnesses and obtain accurate, detailed statements.
• Perform online research and background checks for case information.
• Draft thorough investigative reports summarizing findings and observations.
• Track case progress, time, and expenses in Ethos systems.
• Identify fraud indicators and misrepresentation in claims.
• Maintain professional client communications throughout the investigation.
