Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is a nationwide market range, representing a broad spectrum of salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Investigative Services offers industry-first resources to detect and prevent fraudulent claims. Using advanced technology, we identify potential risks and combat fraudulent practices. As an SIU Investigator supporting a Claim Center, you will analyze, summarize, and prioritize information to uncover potentially fraudulent activity. The role involves investigating suspicious claims across all lines of business, conducting thorough investigations in a dynamic environment. This position may involve remote work, work from home, and/or work from the Claim Center.

Candidate must reside in the Philadelphia area.

What Will You Do?
  • Analyze, monitor, and communicate technical information into investigative strategies, including complex case investigations.
  • Conduct insurance investigations, including database searches, to uncover fraudulent claims.
  • Apply critical thinking to solve complex problems and reach logical conclusions.
  • Ensure investigations comply with Local, State, and Federal statutes.
  • Maintain contact with business partners, customers, and external resources, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, industry advocates, and other companies.
  • Serve as a fraud subject matter expert to partners.
  • Recognize and interpret evidence, understanding its value to claims.
  • Build and maintain relationships with public officials and law enforcement for assistance.
  • Identify cases for potential prosecution and refer questionable claims to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
  • Engage in specialized investigative areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with the claims department to implement anti-fraud strategies.
  • Testify on findings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
