Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to provide direct observation of patients requiring 1:1 care, such as patients at risk for falls or on suicide precautions.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety practices, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in safety instructional programs. Candidates should have experience in nursing assistant care and the ability to follow directions under the supervision of an RN.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and exhibit proficiency in nursing assistant care and oral communication skills.
• At least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in the area of application.
• Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

• Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding person, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of DRMC.
• Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and DRMC.
• Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action.
• Must participate in safety instructional programs.
