Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist to support routing and siting for electrical transmission projects. You will write and provide technical support for routing and siting, help with proposals, plans, and steps toward project closure, with GIS capabilities a plus.

Ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in environmental science/planning/engineering, 5 years of experience, strong communication, and a disciplined, collaborative approach to business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of industry experience desired.
• Experience with routing and siting projects and NEPA documents.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Ability to develop proposals and support business development.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks according to approved scopes of work.
• Assist with routing and siting studies for linear and renewable energy projects.
• Contribute to proposals and pre-qualifications.
• Participate in Health, Safety and Environment policies and guidelines.
