Job summary

Jobot in Philadelphia is seeking a Construction Estimator with a focus on site work and demolition to join our growing team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for diverse projects and evaluate subcontractor quotes to ensure scope alignment.

You'll use HCSS Heavybid or similar software, collaborate with project managers in the preconstruction phase, and help drive competitive bids. A 3+ year track record in construction estimating and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating for site work and demolition.
• Extensive knowledge of preconstruction processes and bidding.
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for team work.
• Proactive approach to anticipate issues and craft solutions.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including site work and demolition.
• Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and scope.
• Using estimating software, such as HCSS Heavybid, to create accurate and comprehensive bids.
• Working closely with project managers and other team members in the preconstruction process, providing your expert advice and insights.
