Job Title: Front-End Sitecore Developer

Location: Remote

Contract Type: Contract 5 days a week – Start time 12:30 pm Sydney time

Project Overview: We are seeking a skilled Front-End Sitecore Developer to join our team and support the migration of our current Sitecore SXA MVC tenant into a modern headless solution. The role involves rebuilding the tenant functionality and developing new components to enhance the site’s functionality and user experience. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major digital transformation initiative using the latest Sitecore technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team, designers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver front-end solutions that align with project goals.
• Drive the front-end development for the Sitecore tenant build, ensuring compatibility with the headless architecture.
• Develop and implement reusable, scalable, and efficient FED headless components following the methodology and model the Solution Designer defines.
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes into responsive, user-friendly web experiences.
• Optimise website performance, accessibility, and security using modern development standards.
• Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and Sitecore data structures.
• Ensure components are built with the CA ANZ Data layer, SEO, accessibility, and performance.
• Maintain clear documentation for developed components, configurations, and processes.
• Participate in code reviews, QA testing, and bug fixes throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with Sitecore advancements and headless development trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Integrate frontend applications with backend services like Boomi middleware, .NET core API etc.
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, ideally working with Dot.net and headless environments.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end development languages and frameworks, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React/Next.js.
• Experience with Sitecore JSS (JavaScript Services) and headless architecture.
• Experience integrating front-end components with Sitecore APIs (GraphQL, REST, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO best practices, and performance optimisation techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and DevSecOps practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Sitecore 10+ and XM Cloud.
• Experience or Understanding of Sitecore content modelling, templates, renderings, and component development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working within cross-functional teams.
