Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. in Milpitas, CA seeks a Spotter to safely direct vehicle drivers, inspect loads, and keep the site clean. You will enforce posted safety rules and assist with general labor tasks as needed at landfills, transfer stations or recycling centers.

This role requires at least one year around heavy machinery, reliability with schedules, and a strong safety mindset. Compensation is $27.80 per hour with benefits options and a focus on team safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience working around heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicles to proper facility areas based on site plan and weather.
• Inspect incoming loads for unacceptable waste and remove such items.
• Communicate with equipment operators on loads needing special attention.
• Follow daily closing task guidelines and procedures.
• Perform general labor duties as needed, including site cleanup and yard work.
• Execute other job-related duties as assigned.
