Kinexis Consulting, LLC is seeking entry to senior level technicians to install, maintain and repair electronic security systems across NY/NJ. You will test performance, troubleshoot devices, read schematics and report results with attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• 3-7 yrs security systems industry experience as a technician is preferred.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, intercom, fiber optics and IP networking.

Job description

We are looking for 1 entry-level (1-3 yrs), 1 mid-level (3-6 yrs) and 1 experienced level (6+ yrs) electronic site technician to set up, maintain and repair electronic security systems, CCTV and devices at facilities located in the NY/NJ Metropolitan area. You may be required to: test system performance; troubleshoot, locate and repair failed devices; analyze data and report on results. This role requires hands-on experience using various hand and power tools, electronic measuring/analysis equipment to calibrate/align system components and circuitry. To succeed in this position, you should also be able to read schematics, comprehend and follow complex technical manuals. This position also requires the individual to have good problem-solving skills, an eye for detail and good manual dexterity as well as the desire to learn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Services intrusion, CCTV, and access control security systems.
• Performs scheduled, routing preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it’s in satisfactory working order.
• Completes maintenance, within assigned hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs.
• Assists with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and adjusts as needed to ensure the system is operational.
• May plan schedules, lay out basic electrical equipment installations, and assist in the start-up and check-out of new systems installations.
• Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.
• Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
• Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
• Maintains company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adheres to and supports Securitas Technology policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
• Keeps abreast of changes and new developments in products and technology.
• Attends and completes training programs as requested.

Job Requirements:

• 3-7 yrs security systems industry experience as a technician is preferred
• Experience within access control, CCTV, intercom, fiber optics, Lenel, Avigilon, AXIS IP Cameras, Video, Camera troubleshooting, system infrastructure and networking
• Ability to maintain accurate records and meeting required maintenance schedules
• Works well with peers and contractors to maintain the high ethical standards required by clients
• Lead Installation, programming, and maintenance of Honeywell ProWatch access control systems
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Genetec Security Center and platforms
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Client environments
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Working knowledge IP video and addressing
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height.
• Carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
• A valid state driver’s license, without restrictions, is required.

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required to perform duties of the position
