Job summary

Rohrer Corporation seeks a Production Scheduler to develop, manage, and maintain finite-capacity schedules based on customer demand, labor, equipment constraints, and material readiness.

The role sequences production orders to optimize throughput, monitors performance, and coordinates with planning, shipping, and customer teams to meet service commitments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in packaging, converting, or process manufacturing.
  • Experience balancing purchasing, scheduling, and logistics responsibilities in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain finite-capacity production schedules based on demand, labor, and material readiness.
  • Sequence production orders to optimize throughput and minimize changeovers.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to address disruptions.
  • Communicate daily and weekly schedules to production, planning, shipping, and customer teams.
  • Track scheduling KPIs such as schedule adherence, lead time, and capacity utilization.
  • Coordinate raw material releases with buyers to match the production plan.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and inventory to ensure supply continuity.
  • Manage raw material and WIP inventory to minimize excess and obsolescence.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP/MRP systems.
  • Coordinate finished goods shipments and prioritize orders with shipping teams.
  • Support S&OP, demand planning, and capacity planning processes.

Job description

  • Develop, manage, andmaintainfinite-capacity production schedules based on customer demand, labor, equipment constraints, and material readiness.
  • Sequence production orders tooptimizethroughput, minimize changeovers, and meet service level commitments.
  • Continuouslymonitorproduction performance and adjust schedules to address disruptions such as material delays, machine downtime, or changing priorities.
  • Communicate daily and weekly schedules to production, supply chain planning, shipping, and customer-facing teams.
  • Track and report scheduling KPIsincludingschedule adherence, lead time, and capacityutilization.
Raw Material Coordination
  • Coordinate withcorporate buyersand production to release raw material requirements aligned with the production schedule and forecasted demand.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and discrepancies in collaboration withpurchasingand internal teams.
Inventory Management
  • Manage raw material and WIP inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP/MRP systems.
  • Identifyopportunities to improve inventory turns and material flow.
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate finished goods shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Partner with shipping andlogisticsteams to prioritize orders andoptimizefreight execution.
  • Ensureaccuratedocumentation,timelyshipment release, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Communicate order status and delivery updates to customer service and sales teams.
  • Act as a key operational liaison between production, purchasing,planning, shipping, and site leadership.
  • Support S&OP, demand planning, and capacity planning processes.
  • Identifyand implement continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling effectiveness, material availability, and supplier performance.
  • Support system and process improvements within ERP/MRP platforms.
Qualifications
Experience
Preferred
1-2 years:

Experience in packaging, converting, or process manufacturing.

1-2 years:

Experience balancing purchasing, scheduling, and logistics responsibilities in a plant environment.
