Job summary

Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. invites you to join our team as a SITE SUPERVISOR to oversee heavy civil earthworks across Nevada projects. You will manage field crews, ensure safety, and maintain client relations while coordinating with equipment and site personnel.

The role demands at least 5 years of site supervision experience and expert-level operation of excavators, dozers, or graders, with a strong safety focus and ability to adapt to rotating shifts and remote field sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Site Supervisor on heavy civil earthworks for mining, lease construction, highway construction, dam/dyke construction, landfill construction, underground utility installation, pad building, pad extensions, infills, sub prep, stripping, and/or dirt management projects is required.
  • Expert level experience as an excavator, dozer or grader operator.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in support of Project Scope mandate.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients. Respond to inquiries promptly and carry out work as required to satisfy client requests and project quality standards.
  • Assist maintenance in scheduling equipment preventative maintenance or repair.
  • Motivate, inspire, observe, and delegate tasks to crew.
  • Inspire productivity, promote training and cross training, and create a positive team culture.
  • Build a level of knowledge and understanding of safety practices, scheduling techniques, trade knowledge and employee engagement.
  • Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, other operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies by demonstrating a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel. Perform JSA and FLHA’s as required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
  • Operate 2-way radio
  • Perform labour duties as / when required.
  • Assist ground personnel as / when required.
  • Other duties as / when assigned

Project dependent, most commonly 14/7

Shift

12 Hours (Days and Nights)

Lodging & Food

Lodging OR Living / Subsistence Allowance will be provided.

Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening
  • MSHA Part 48
All Morgan Field Based Workers and Equipment Operators must
  • Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs.
  • Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required.
  • Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether it's rain, shine, or snow, you'll need to thrive in diverse weather environments.

Experience / Qualification Requirements
