Job description

**THIS POSITION IS PENDING CONTRACT AWARD**

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources of assigned employees. Also, perform all local management actions associated with his/her employees, to include, but not limited to, investigations and reports arising from any quality defect notices issued against contractor employees, verification of time sheets, introduction and initial indoctrination to new employees.

DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the supervision and oversight of all maintenance and logistics operations.
  • Reports to the Program Manager and act as the Program Manager in his absence.
  • Allocates resources to meet ever-changing mission requirements.
  • Ensures the maintenance organization is not overly tasked with augmentation duties outside maintenance functional areas.
  • Plans and directs project execution; monitors and develops reports on progress.
  • Must be technically knowledgeable with respect to production and inspection systems/plans, regulatory standards, project management, and general production principles.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Army and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to coordinate the activities of different departments to ensure the timely support of the maintenance process.
  • Must have a results-oriented commitment to the continuing evolution of the maintenance program.
  • Must possess leadership and management skills and have a proven track record demonstrating adaptability to change and the ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
  • Must also be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of and the application of quality tools.
  • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Five years' experience in related field (Aviation Support Equipment)
  • At least four years' experience in a leadership role for aviation support equipment mechanic
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficiency in various computer programs required (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access etc.).
  • Must currently have or obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
