Job summary

VxL is seeking a skilled Access Control Supervisor to lead a team protecting a secure government facility in Texas. You will manage posts, schedule shifts, run muster, and report incidents, serving as the day-to-day contact with the government customer.

You must hold U.S. citizenship, TS/SCI clearance, and a DoD CAC, with 4+ years in access control and 2+ years in supervision. CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtainable before start. This is an on-site role with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be 25+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years as an Access Control Officer with security systems experience (DISS).
• 2+ years as an access control supervisor.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or able to obtain before start.
• Eligible for a DoD CAC.
• Willing to sign NDA and counterintelligence polygraph if required.

Schedule: Full-time. Weekday daytime core business hours, Monday through Friday. Lead officers cover evenings and weekends.

About the role

Lead a team of Access Control Officers and Security Escorts protecting a secure government facility. You manage posts, schedule shifts, run daily muster, report incidents, and serve as the day-to-day point of contact with the government customer.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control posts and keep every post covered
• Build and adjust shift schedules; fill vacancies quickly
• Conduct daily muster and brief the team
• Document and report incidents and security events
• Act as the primary on-site liaison with the government customer
• Make sure team members complete required security and annual training, with relief scheduled so posts stay covered
• Perform access control duties alongside the team when needed

Minimum qualifications

• U.S. citizenship
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• At least 25 years of age (contract requirement)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 4 years of experience as an Access Control Officer, including use of personnel security systems such as DISS
• At least 2 years of experience as an access control supervisor (experience may come from any employer or contract)
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or able to obtain before start)
• Eligible for a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
• Willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement and, if required, submit to a counterintelligence polygraph
