Position at SBM Management

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for safely coordinating custodial and janitorial activities within the assigned program. This includes overseeing company employees and temporary staff engaged in the program. The individual will inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of employees within the assigned program
• Train, supervise, and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures
• Coordinate and monitor work activities; recommend training and discipline
• Prepare written reports such as pass-down, weekly, or monthly reports
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Manage supplies and maintain inventory
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment to ensure safety compliance
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to the manager
• Address at-risk behavior immediately and report to the manager
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions in areas needing improvement
• Maintain records of training, inspections, attendance, and metrics
• Understand supervisor responsibilities
• Some travel may be required for this position

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; High School diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license may be required
• Forklift certification preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
• Proficiency in database, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, training, and time management skills
• Problem-solving, presentation, and coaching abilities
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Effective communication skills with customers, contractors, and employees; forklift and pallet jack operation skills are a plus
