Job summary

Securitas USA in Dixon, IL is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead security teams, monitor access control, and ensure client-site regulations are followed. The role oversees a small staff, creates weekly schedules, updates post orders, and reports on incidents to maintain a safe environment.

• Oversees staff of 6-8 officers, creates weekly schedules, updates post orders, and maintains certifications.
• Coaches and disciplines personnel as needed; documents actions.
• Trains Officers and reviews assignment details with subordinates.
• Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions in coordination with management.
• Prepares and submits required reports; conducts post inspections.
• Meets client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide quality service.
• May perform Security Officer duties as needed; conducts long foot patrols and access control tasks.

Site Supervisor - Full Time

Primary Location: Dixon, IL

Wage: $24.25/HR

Schedule: Mon - Fri: 8AM - 4PM

The Site Supervisor helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
• Oversees a staff of 6 - 8 officers, creates weekly schedules, updates post orders, and ensures certifications are up to date.
• Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.
• In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
• Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
• May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accord with post orders and company policy.
• Long foot patrols, monitoring cameras, & access control duties.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must have at least 2 years of supervisor or management experience and experience with creating schedules.
• Security experience a plus.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Driver Certification.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed (possibly with short notice).
