We are partnering with a market-leading industrial services organisation to recruit an experienced Site Superintendent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and innovative business delivering specialist site access and infrastructure solutions across a range of industrial, construction, energy, and environmental projects throughout the region.
This hands‑on leadership role will see you overseeing multiple field crews and customer sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest operational standards. You will act as the key liaison between clients, field personnel, and internal stakeholders while driving productivity, profitability, and exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in day‑to‑day operations, workforce management, customer engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise multiple field crews across various customer sites
- Drive compliance with company standard operating procedures and safety requirements
- Conduct site inspections, job walks, and customer meetings
- Act as the primary on-site contact for customers and project stakeholders
- Manage labour allocation, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Approve employee timesheets and monitor crew productivity
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget
- Manage site profitability, including operational costs and expenses
- Identify opportunities for additional services and support business growth initiatives
- Initiate and manage change orders where project scope adjustments are required
- Maintain quality standards and ensure completion of all operational documentation
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and hands‑on training to field personnel
- Support employee development and succession planning
- Monitor customer satisfaction and manage expectations throughout project delivery
- Identify operational efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities
- Participate as a key member of the Emergency Response Team
- Operate heavy equipment when required, including loaders, forklifts, and material handlers
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Site Superintendent, Operations Supervisor, or similar leadership role
- Previous experience managing multiple crews across various job sites
- Strong knowledge of industrial, construction, site services, or field operations environments
- Experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, front‑end loaders, and material handlers
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements
- Excellent customer‑facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage project costs, labour resources, and operational performance
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant industry experience
- Previous experience in a senior, supervisory, or mentoring capacity
- Associate Degree or equivalent vocational qualification
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project profitability
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel‑powered equipment
- Experience within site access, groundwork, earthworks, or grading operations
- CDL licence preferred
- Experience supporting emergency response or rapid mobilisation projects
