Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Site Superintendent to manage field operations for commercial site development from inception to completion. The role includes coaching staff, coordinating labor, and ensuring work meets contract specs and budget.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of landscape/construction production experience, plus strong communication and safety leadership. This on-site position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with landscape, concrete, irrigation, and construction production techniques.
• Expert knowledge of construction tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong work ethic and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all field work; analyze and resolve problems.
• Manage labor force & subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on track.
• Maintain accurate daily and weekly Foremen and Superintendent activity logs; update production tracking reports and generate other related reports as needed.
• Responsible for dispatch of labor and equipment to job sites
• Manage equipment utilization on projects, equipment storage and maintenance.
• Ensure that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications and that drawings are within budget and on schedule.
• Collaborate with staff to meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of external and internal customers.
• Work collaboratively with others; foster a positive “people oriented” environment.
• Evaluate employee safety data and promote safe work practices or conditions;ensure employees attend weekly safety meetings.
• Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as promoting company culture.

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Able to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
• Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.

Work Environment

• Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
• Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.

Compensation Pay Range

$80,000-95,000
