Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Landscape Foreman to oversee the installation of landscape upgrades for commercial maintenance accounts. You will lead crews, schedule deliveries, and ensure safety and quality on active job sites.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of construction or landscape installation experience, proficiency with blueprints, and strong leadership and communication skills. Position requires outdoor work, valid license for BrightView fleet if applicable, and flexibility

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in construction or landscape installation.
  • Proven leadership experience managing crews on active job sites.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • First Aid certification or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation of landscape, irrigation, and site development materials.
  • Schedule and coordinate timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure crew productivity, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Lead weekly tailgate safety meetings and ensure employee attendance.
  • Enforce on-site safety practices and hazard evaluations.
  • Maintain hazardous communication folders with safety forms.
  • Reconcile assets with accounting records.

Job Summary
  • The BVG Landscape Foreman oversees the installation of landscape upgrades for commercial maintenance accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly job site inspections and complete job site checklists
  • Oversee installation of landscape, irrigation, and site development materials
  • Schedule and coordinate timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Ensure crew productivity, quality control, and compliance with safety protocols
  • Assist in job scheduling and manage coordination with subcontractors
  • Lead weekly tailgate safety meetings and ensure employee attendance
  • Enforce on-site safety practices, including traffic hazard reviews, hard hat and safety gear checks, underground utility alerts and trade hazard evaluations, and general public safety assessments
  • Maintain hazardous communication folders with chemical safety forms
  • Report unsafe behavior or incidents to the Superintendent and Safety Office
  • Submit accident reports in accordance with company policy
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure proper use of materials and tools
  • Support internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure proper segregation of duties
  • Uphold confidentiality of proprietary information and comply with all laws, regulations, and company ethics policies
  • Periodically reconcile physical assets with accounting records
Education and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or landscape installation
  • Proven leadership experience managing crews on active job sites
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
  • First Aid certification (or ability to become certified)
Physical Demands/Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
  • Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
  • Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)
  • You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
  • Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
  • Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
  • Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
  • Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
  • Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.
