NATURE OF WORK
The Site Superintendent provides overall field leadership for industrial, agricultural, and food processing construction projects from mobilization through startup and closeout. Industrial or agricultural construction experience is a primary qualification; experience in at least one of these sectors or food processing construction is required. Greenfield construction management experience is strongly preferred.
The position coordinates civil, concrete, structural, building, millwright, process equipment, piping, electrical, controls, and specialty contractors. The Site Superintendent does not directly supervise individual skilled trades workers on a day-to-day basis. Work is coordinated through each contractor’s foreman or designated field representative. Broad construction knowledge is required; master-level expertise in a single trade is not.

- Maintain an orderly, professional jobsite with clear accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and execution requirements.
Safety & Quality:

- Coordinate civil/sitework, concrete, structural steel, building systems, millwright installation, process equipment, piping, electrical, controls, and specialty scopes.
- Maintain short-term look-ahead schedules, monitor field progress, and identify labor, equipment, material, information, inspection, and access requirements.
- Escalate schedule risks, scope gaps, design conflicts, unforeseen conditions, and potential cost impacts.
- Coordinate deliveries, cranes, inspections, testing, startup, commissioning, punch-list completion, demobilization, and closeout.
Documentation & Site Administration:
- Maintain daily reports, progress records, photographs, site logs, delivery documentation, and as-built information.
- Monitor contractor staffing, equipment utilization, site services, and jobsite consumables for alignment with the project plan.
- Review field work records, time-and-material documentation, delivery tickets, and equipment usage as assigned.
- Coordinate project tools, rented equipment, fuel, sanitation, waste disposal, temporary facilities, testing services, cranes, and concrete pumping.
