Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced traveling Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale, multi-million dollar projects in Industrial & Aerospace markets. Based out of Nashville, TN, this role requires frequent travel to projects across GA, AL, NC, SC, and FL.

The ideal candidate will oversee safety, manage multi-disciplinary teams, develop production plans, and ensure project schedules and budgets are met. Extensive field leadership experience and ability to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 10 years of construction experience.
• Industrial and/or Industrial/Aerospace experience required.
• Ability to travel frequently by car and air nationwide.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents.

• Supervises, directs, and coordinates management of construction projects with owners, designers, and subcontractors for efficient performance.

• Responsible for daily, progress, and compliance reports and logs.
• Oversees review of plans and drawings and coordination of shop drawings.
• Procures tools and materials to meet the work schedule.
• Determines staffing levels and timing considering building methodology and equipment availability.
• Recruits and directs onsite field personnel per HR processes.
• Prepares payroll documentation to comply with HR and Payroll policies.
• Resolves complaints with supervisory personnel and employees with HR/Legal assistance.
• Works with engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to improve construction methods.
• Ensures schedules are adhered to by managing staffing and procurement.
• Supervises subcontractors to ensure compliance with terms.
• Follows and enforces company policies.

• Partners with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction projects, including direct liaison with owner, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the job
• Develops and implements production plans with budget goals in mind
• Assists Project Manager in the preparation of project status reports
• Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports and logs

Please note this role would be based out of our Nashville, TN office but would be traveling to projects potentially outside of TN in areas such as GA, AL, NC, SC, or FL.

• Current knowledge and ability to apply relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing and to present information to top management, owners, subcontractors, and other outside entities

• Must be able to travel frequently by car and air to jobsites and prospective jobsites throughout the United States and to work out of town for significant periods of time when the job requires onsite supervision

• Works significant portion of day outside on construction site
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work at heights
• Must be able to work in all types of weather (including exposure to extremes of hot and cold) and in all kinds of work environments
• Able to lift/move up to 70 pounds
• Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders & stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc (physical activities associated with construction sites)
• Must be able to withstand for long periods of time noise, fumes, airborne particles, etc. associated with construction sites
• Valid driver’s license
