Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Site Sourcing Specialist for a 12-month onsite contract in Duncan, SC. The role involves managing site-specific commodities, documentation, compliance, and sourcing activities, acting as the interface between the Duncan site and regional commodity teams, and handling escalations related to supply chain issues. The environment is low volume, high mix, and project-oriented, focusing on communication facilitation, cost reduction, process improvements, and compliance.

Rate Range

$40.00/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, location, and other factors.

Responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring direct material variances and informing finance and bid teams.
2. Maintaining sourcing rules in the ERP system.
3. Identifying productivity actions and collaborating with regional teams.
4. Communicating site needs and coordinating qualification processes.
5. Assisting with material changeovers and site documentation.
6. Managing invoice discrepancies, change requests, claims, and chargebacks.
7. Handling site-specific sourcing activities, including RFI/RFQ and supplier qualification.
8. Escalating supplier issues and supporting compliance projects.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s preferred.
2. 3-5 years manufacturing/transportation/construction experience; 2-4 years purchasing experience.
3. Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional teams.
4. Effective communicator, strategic thinker, and adaptable to feedback.
5. Familiarity with UCC, import/export laws, incoterms, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.), and report tools (Power BI, Crystal Reports).
6. Ability to handle multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
7. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and wear PPE on site.
8. Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.
