Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. seeks a Site Services Superintendent for the Springer Mine in Nevada. This onsite leadership role oversees employees, contractors, facilities, logistics, and administrative systems that support daily site operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure safe, efficient service delivery, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve the onsite employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Facilities Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in site services, facilities, logistics, administration, hospitality, or operational support.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience supporting mining, construction, industrial, or remote-site operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating facilities, transportation, accommodations, or other workforce support services.
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, service agreements, procurement activities, and departmental budgets.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet all site access requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Site Services employees by setting priorities and ensuring coverage.
  • Coach staff with feedback and promote accountability and high service standards.
  • Plan staffing and resource requirements for changing operational needs.
  • Oversee day-to-day Site Services: accommodations, transport, site access, logistics, facilities, catering, and admin.
  • Address Site Services requests and issues promptly.
  • Coordinate workforce mobilizations, onboarding activities, shutdowns, events, and projects.
  • Ensure activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
  • Promote safety culture among employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Participate in safety meetings and corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage Site Services budget; monitor expenditures.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory, invoicing, procurement activities.
  • Manage contractors and service providers; ensure contract compliance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, HR, Safety, Supply Chain, Finance to meet site needs.
  • Escalate significant Site Services issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain Site Services procedures, schedules, records, reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, and employee experience.
  • Support planning and growth by assessing facility, transport, and service needs.

About Springer Mine

The Springer site is an underground mining operation located near Imlay, Nevada. As the project advances, effective Site Services support employees, contractors, visitors, and operational teams. The department helps maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment by coordinating the facilities, logistics, and services needed for daily site activities.

About the Role

The Site Services Superintendent leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of Site Services at the Springer Site. This onsite leadership role is responsible for overseeing the employees, contractors, vendors, facilities, logistics, and administrative systems that support daily site operations.

Working closely with Operations, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments, the Superintendent ensures that site services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational requirements. The role also manages departmental resources and budgets, addresses service-related issues, and identifies opportunities to improve the overall onsite experience.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, supervise, and support Site Services employees by establishing priorities, assigning work, and ensuring appropriate departmental coverage.

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance while promoting accountability, collaboration, and high service standards.

  • Plan staffing and resource requirements in response to changing operational needs.

Site Services Operations
  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of Site Services, including accommodations, transportation, site access, visitor logistics, facilities, housekeeping, catering, office services, and related site support.

  • Ensure Site Services requests and operational issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

  • Coordinate support for workforce mobilizations, onboarding activities, shutdowns, employee events, and special projects.

Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all Site Services activities are performed in accordance with company health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees, contractors, and vendors understand and follow site safety standards.

  • Participate in safety meetings, inspections, incident reviews, and corrective-action initiatives as required.

Financial & Vendor Management
  • Develop and manage the Site Services budget, monitor expenditures, and forecast future resource and service requirements.

  • Oversee departmental purchasing, inventory, invoice verification, and related procurement activities.

  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers by monitoring performance, addressing service concerns, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination
  • Work closely with Operations, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to anticipate and respond to site requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for significant Site Services issues and coordinate timely resolutions.

  • Maintain productive relationships with employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Site Support
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Site Services procedures, schedules, records, and reporting systems.

  • Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, cost control, and the onsite employee experience.

  • Support site planning and growth initiatives by assessing future facility, transportation, accommodation, and service requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in site services, facilities, logistics, administration, hospitality, or operational support.
