Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Security Guard to maintain a safe, secure environment for team members, visitors, and assets. You will monitor activity, control site access, and support daily operations, communicating effectively while working independently in a fast-paced setting.

Reqs include a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to walk long distances and navigate stairs in all weather. Security experience is preferred but not required; strong computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Experience: Previous security experience preferred but not required.
• Technical: Strong computer skills preferred.
• Physical: Walk long distances on varying terrain, all weather, and stairs.
• Professional: Work independently with minimal supervision and maintain focus under pressure.
• Availability: Ability to work any shift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity to help ensure a safe and secure workplace.
• Conduct daily rounds, including checking trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and facility gates.
• Monitor and document all associate and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Answer and direct switchboard calls during off-hours.
• Process outbound loads as required.
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Operate company-owned vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Perform parking lot checks daily.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, safety, and operability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility security and operations.
