Job summary

Cava Electric LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Site Safety Technician to support our Safety Management Program in the field. The role requires working knowledge of OSHA requirements for electric power and construction and ensuring safety policies are implemented on site.

You will assist the Site Safety Manager, conduct on-site meetings, observations, inspections, and audits, and participate in pre-project planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a safety role focused on electrical construction environments.
• OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
• Willing to travel to job sites and pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Safety Manager and oversee safety policies on site.

Job description

Our safety team is seeking a detail-oriented Site Safety Technician to support Cava Electric’s Safety Management Program in the field. This position demands a working understanding of OSHA regulatory requirements related to electric power and construction, and responsibility for ensuring company and client safety policies, plans, and work practices are implemented on site.

Duties

• Support the Site Safety Manager and assist with oversight of employees and enforcement of safety policies and procedures
• Maintain regular on-site presence to conduct and document meetings, safety observations, inspections, and audits, providing on-the-spot coaching to crews
• Participate in pre-project planning and safety reviews to identify hazards, risks, and controls, and develop site safety plans and training
• Respond to calls related to safety incidents including first aid guidance, participating in an on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends
• Conduct and document incident investigations, identify causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor safety performance metrics and trends and recommend proactive and corrective actions
• Work with management, project managers, and field employees to build understanding of the Safety Management Program
• Provide first aid treatment for non-serious injury or illness, and if trained, render emergency medical treatment and arrange transportation
