Job summary

The Brock Group Inc. in Lemont, IL seeks a Temporary Site Safety Tech to support safety leadership for turnarounds. You will help implement safety programs, conduct inspections, and promote Brock’s HSE culture on site.

You’ll need 3–5 years field experience, basic first aid/CPR, and strong communication. This is a hands-on, outdoor/indoor role requiring collaboration with contractors and field teams to maintain safety and ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business.
• Ensure daily inspections and observations of work areas are completed and liaise with supervisors and the crew relating to Brock’s HSE Program.
• Review and provide feedback to Customer on hazard assessment and risk assessment documents.
• Ensure that all requirements of the Health and Safety Program are followed by project personnel.
• Attend job and safety equipment demonstrations as required.
• Coordinate and approve the overall Site Emergency Plan.
• Maintain up-to-date orientation documentation for Brock’s HSE Program.
• Conduct audits and support safety meetings with Supervisors.
• Track site incident trends and statistics.
• Oversee incident investigations and reporting per Brock’s Incident Management System.
• Communicate Brock’s safety mission and motivate teams toward safety goals.
• Promote HSE awareness through meetings, communications and training.
• Monitor and address sub-standard conditions and practices.
• Maintain records for site training activities.
• Train operations personnel on safety procedures.
• Oversee injury case management.
• Audit potentially hazardous work areas and practices.
• Ensure client HSE reporting requirements are met.
