Job description

Tired of Watching Accidents Get Ignored and Shortcuts Get Rewarded? Step Up. Speak Out. Be the Reason Everyone Gets Home Safe. Let’s be real: too many American workers show up to unsafe jobs with broken processes, no training, and leaders who look the other way. If you’re done seeing hard-working people put at risk just to "keep production moving," it’s time to flip the script. At Wisenbaker, we don’t just talk safety, we live it. And we’re looking for a Site Health & Safety Rep who’s bold enough to call out the BS, smart enough to fix it, and passionate enough to protect every person on our floor like family.

Your Mission: You’ve seen it too many times, corners cut, hazards ignored, and production pushed at the cost of people. Your mission is to stop that cycle. You’ll be the force that stands up for what’s right, even when it’s inconvenient. You’ll build trust on the floor, hold leadership accountable, and create a culture where workers don’t have to hope they make it home safe, they know they will.

Key Responsibilities
  • Walk the floor daily to spot issues before they become injuries and make safety part of the culture — not just a policy.
  • Coach managers and supervisors on real-world OSHA compliance and hold the line when shortcuts threaten safety.
  • Lead safety audits, investigate incidents, and drive root‑cause solutions that actually stick.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses to keep processes proactive, not reactive.
  • Deliver powerful safety training that engages everyone, from day‑one employees to seasoned leads.
  • Run new hire orientations that set the tone from minute one: safety matters here.
  • Stay on top of regulations and raise the flag when anything threatens our standards or people.
Ideal Candidate
  • Hands‑on experience in manufacturing safety, not just reading policies, but enforcing and improving them.
  • Know how to find the real cause behind problems, not just slap on a fix.
  • Have led or contributed to Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses that actually prevented injuries.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and in person; bilingual in Spanish is a big win.
  • Comfortable with MS Office tools and maybe even ERP or safety software systems.
  • Hold a 10‑ or 30‑hour OSHA certification, or be ready to earn it fast.
