You will partner with field teams to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and ensure regulatory compliance, with opportunities to support multiple JR Merit divisions across the Western US. The role requires 5+ years in construction safety, a relevant degree, OSHA CFR 1926 knowledge, and First Aid/CPR & OSHA 30 certifications.

As a Site Safety Specialist, you’ll support the implementation and continuous improvement of JR Merit’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. You’ll partner with field and project teams to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.

This position begins on a major Power Generation project in Madras, Oregon. As projects evolve, you'll have opportunities to support work across JR Merit's Power Generation, Industrial, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, and Specialty divisions throughout the Western United States.
In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for travel‑related incentives, per diem benefits for qualifying assignments, and enhanced earnings opportunities tied to project schedules. Depending on project assignment and work schedule, the Site Safety Specialist may have the opportunity to earn approximately 25% to 50% above their annual base salary.
