Job summary

Board of Certified Safety Professionals is seeking a Site Safety Professional to oversee HSE programs across commercial and industrial construction projects. The role partners with field teams, management, and customers to ensure ongoing compliance and safety excellence.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in site safety management, OSHA certifications, and experience leading safety teams across multiple sites. This contract position demands strong hands-on safety leadership and program delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Site Safety Management experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Experience leading and developing Safety Technicians/Coordinators.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, LOTO, incident investigations and JHAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety operations and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Mentor Safety Technicians and Coordinators across project sites.
• Conduct audits, inspections, JHAs, and safety training.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Support Injury/Illness Prevention Programs development and execution.
• Provide safety guidance to project teams and leadership to reduce risk.
• Oversee compliance with NFPA 70E, LOTO, and other safety programs.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation using Office/Cloud tools.

Position: Site Safety Professional

Location: Reno, NV OR Boise, ID - No relocation or Per diem

Duration: multi year contract

Pay: $55/hr - $60/hr without CHST, $65/hr with CHST

Hours: 70+ hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across commercial and industrial construction projects. This individual will partner with field teams, management, and customers to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead site safety operations and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  
• Manage and mentor Safety Technicians and Coordinators across multiple project sites.
  
• Conduct audits, inspections, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety training.
  
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
  
• Support the development and execution of Injury/Illness Prevention Programs.
  
• Provide safety guidance to project teams and leadership to reduce risk and improve performance.
  
• Oversee compliance with NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other safety programs.
  
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting using platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Smartsheet, Box, PDF editing tools, and Safety Culture Auditor.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Site Safety Management experience within commercial or industrial construction environments.
  
• Experience leading and developing teams of Safety Technicians/Coordinators.
  
• OSHA 510 certification required; OSHA 500 strongly preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), incident investigations, and JHAs.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• BCSP CHST, CSP, SMS, SMP, or STSC certification.
  
• OSHA 500 certification.
  
• Experience supporting large-scale construction or service operations.
