Job summary

Trivent Safety Consulting is seeking an experienced Site Safety Professional to own day-to-day safety on a large commercial project in Los Lunas, NM. You’ll be the go-to safety resource on swing shifts, working with field leaders and subs to prevent incidents.

You’ll enforce OSHA standards, lead toolbox talks, and document safety activities while partnering with project management to elevate safety performance throughout the 6+ month assignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience, ideally on large commercial projects.
• OSHA 30 Certification and strong working knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Clear, direct communication and leadership to influence field teams.
• Experience with data center projects and safety certifications (CHST/STSC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety oversight on a large construction site in Los Lunas, NM, with a visible swing-shift presence.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify unsafe conditions, and drive corrective actions with supervision.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and project safety policies across all trades and subcontractors.
• Plan toolbox talks, safety orientations, and daily briefings to engage crews and promote proactivity.
• Support incident investigations, maintain safety records, and collaborate with management to improve safety performance.

We are currently supporting a major commercial construction client in Los Lunas, NM and are seeking an experienced Site Safety Professional to join the project team on a fixed-term W-2 assignment.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day site safety on a large commercial construction project, helping shape a proactive safety culture on a high-visibility job. You will be the go-to safety resource on a busy swing shift, working closely with field leaders and subcontractors to prevent incidents before they occur.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily safety oversight on a large commercial construction site in Los Lunas, NM, with a strong, visible presence in the field during the swing shift.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify unsafe conditions or behaviors, and drive timely corrective actions with field supervision.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and project-specific safety policies, ensuring consistent compliance across all trades and subcontractors.
• Plan and deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and daily safety briefings that engage crews and reinforce a proactive safety mindset.
• Support incident investigations, maintain accurate safety documentation and reports, and collaborate with project management to improve safety performance over the life of the project.

What Success Looks Like

• Within the first 30–60 days, establish strong relationships with site leadership and crews, becoming a trusted, visible safety presence on the swing shift.
• Consistently identify, document, and resolve hazards before they lead to incidents, contributing to a reduction in recordable injuries and near-misses.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely safety records, inspections, and reports that meet client, company, and OSHA requirements.
• Help build and reinforce a culture of accountability where supervisors and subcontractors take ownership of safety and actively engage in prevention efforts.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of construction safety experience, ideally on Data Center projects, with the confidence to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• OSHA 30 Certification and strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and field safety best practices.
• Clear, direct communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence project teams, subcontractors, and site management.
• Experience on data center projects and safety certifications such as CHST or STSC are preferred, along with strong documentation and reporting abilities.
