Overview

Kallidus Technologies, Inc. endeavors to deliver quality construction service. We provide general contracting and design/build services for federal clients. We are seeking a Site Safety Officer on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Safety Plan, AHA for each definable feature of work
• Provide safety indoctrination to all construction site visitors
• Ensure the accepted APP is carried out
• Ensure all site personnel have all HTRW, asbestos and lead paint training and their PPE meets applicable OSHA/EPA requirements
• Conduct daily walk through of the site ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised
• Attend and participate in all preparatory and initial quality control phase meetings
• Conduct weekly safety meetings for all workers
• Conduct monthly supervisory safety meetings
• Provide accident reports
• Produce a Daily Safety Report of activities performed
• Provide minutes for weekly and monthly safety meetings

Requirements / Qualifications

• 30-Hour OSHA certified for OSHA Construction Industry safety class with current First Aid and CPR Training/AED
• Shall be able to demonstrate training in PPE and Clothing to include selection, use and maintenance; hazard communication; excavation; scaffolding; fall protection; confined space; health hazard recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents
• EMT/Firefighter experience - a plus
• The SSHO must have 10 years of demonstratable SSHO experience on Construction Projects or a College graduate with 5 years of Construction Industry safety experience on Construction Projects in supervising or managing general or industry construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls)
