Job summary

The Chemours Company in El Dorado, Arkansas, seeks a Site Safety & Occupational Health Specialist to lead our onsite safety and health program as part of the Thermal and Specialized Solutions Operations team. You will advise site leadership on safety risks and compliance, coordinating with Corporate EHS and contractors.

You will manage occupational health, safety, fire protection, ergonomics, and monitoring programs, acting as the sole onsite leader and liaison with the Plant Manager and

Qualifications

• 3+ years occupational safety experience in chemical/ petrochemical industries.
• Strong leadership abilities to motivate and coach personnel.
• Experience with OSHA regulation compliance and interpretation.
• Experience conducting safety data analysis and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site safety resource to leadership and employees, interpreting corporate/OSHA standards.
• Maintain up-to-date manuals, policies, procedures and records for safety programs.
• Lead safety audits and participate in Responsible Care activities.
• Represent safety in process hazards reviews and pre-startup inspections.
• Conduct safety observations and job safety analyses in process areas.
