Job summary

Sargent Electric is seeking a Site Safety Manager to oversee safety on a Clarke County, Nevada project site. The role supports a dynamic construction site with per diem eligibility and requires strong leadership in safety program execution and incident response.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in safety management (or equivalent), OSHA 500, and 2–4 years of construction safety experience, with excellent communication and the ability to train diverse crews.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks and compliance auditing.
• Lead accident/incident investigations.
• Develop corrective actions for each causal factor utilizing the Hierarchy of Controls.
• Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electrical Management.

SITE SAFETY MANAGER

We are seeking a Site Safety Manager to support a project site in Clarke County, Nevada. This position is per diem eligible.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide general safety training to all personnel
• Sound knowledge of OSHA 1926 as well as applicable consensus standards such as NFPA 70E
• Assist leadership in developing all causal factors for all near miss and other incidents
• Evaluate effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks and compliance auditing
• Lead accident/Incident investigation
• Develop corrective actions for each causal factor utilizing the Hierarchy of Controls
• Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electrical Management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Bachelor degree in safety management or equivalent.
• OSHA 500 Certification
• Ability to speak in front of public
• Bachelor is Safety Management or equivalent
• 2-4 years’ experience in construction
• Excellent written communication skills. Proficiency with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to type.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
• The ability to work efficiently under tight time frames, the ability to respond to requests in a timely manner, and effective communication as a team player.
• Understanding of the importance of multi-tasking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CHST or similar certification
• OSHA 500 - Construction
• Fluent in Microsoft Office
