Job summary

Sargent Electric is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Team in West Virginia. You will help maintain a safe and compliant jobsite by training, inspections, incident investigations, and implementing site-specific safety programs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in safety management or equivalent, with 1–3 years of construction safety experience; CHST and OSHA 30 are preferred. Per diem is offered on projects; on-site role with market-competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site audits and assessments to ensure compliance with Federal, State and client requirements.
• Investigate accidents/incidents, near misses and property damage; assist with claims and corrective actions.
• Review client contracts; develop site-specific safety plans; attend kick-off meetings; assist in close-out actions.
• Deliver orientation for new employees, equipment training, LOTO, NFPA 70E, CSE, MEWP.
• Provide competent person training; OSHA 10/30 outreach.
• Assist in developing and revising JHAs, SSPs, safety slides and other programs.
• Take on additional duties assigned by Sargent Electric Management.

We are seeking a SITE SAFETY COORDINATOR to support our Safety Team in West Virginia. The Site Safety Coordinator will help maintain a safe and compliant jobsite by supporting safety training, inspections, incident investigations, and site-specific safety programs.

A daily per diem will be offered depending on project.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Conduct site audits and assessments to ensure compliance with Federal, State and client requirements
• Conduct accident/incident investigations, near miss, property damage, assist with claim management, and implements corrective action items to avoid reoccurrence.
• Review client contracts, develop site specific safety plans, attend kick off meetings, and assist in close out meeting action items.
• Perform orientation training for new employees, equipment training, LOTO, NFPA 70E, CSE, MEWP, etc.
• Competent person training, OSHA 10/30 outreach trainer.
• Assist with developing and revising JHA's, SSSP's, PowerPoint training slides, and other safety programs.
• Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electric Management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Excellent written communication skills. Proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
• Works efficiently under tight timeframes, responds to requests in a timely manner, and communicates effectively as a team player.
• Understands the importance of being able to multi-task.
• Ability to speak in front of public
• Bachelor's in safety management or equivalent
• 1-3 years' experience in construction safety management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CHST or similar certification
• OSHA 30 – Construction
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
• Strong planning, prioritizing, and presentation skills
